As many of you know, I do quite a bit of traveling in my life. However, I don’t often get enough time in any one location to document life as I see it in those locations. Recently, I had the great privilege of being able to spend an entire day wandering the city streets in San Juan and getting a real sense of how the town and its people feel currently. There was a great sense of loss after the devastation of the hurricane, but also an underlying sense of hope.
Even though I spend the majority of my photographic time on lifestyle sessions (weddings, couples, families), I have a deep passion for photojournalism and street photography. Being able to spend this day documenting was a great honor and led me to putting together my first photographic collection. It is a black and white collection, as black and white photography is also close to my heart. Please enjoy San Juan through my perspective.
